Ayda Theodore is a girl who rarely lets anything get her down. At least, that's how she seems. While not overly outgoing, Ayda isn't terribly shy and isn't afraid to say what's on her mind. Sometimes she's quick to overreact in certain situations (mainly when she's nervous), which some people mistake for her being moody. Recently, she was branded with the Mark of the Omen, and sent to a Heretic Village.

Zida Fergus is a somewhat naive person. At 17 years old, he is a year into his Contribution, for which he volunteered to be an Omen Guard. Even though he volunteered, it seems as though he's unhappy with his current job. He clings to the teachings of the Blessed like most of the people in Golaria.

Hyann Cam is a year ahead of Zida in his Contribution, even though Zida outranks him. They were also in the same class in school (Hyann was held back a year). Hyann is more down-to-earth than his friend, thinking that the teachings of the Blessed are outdated. His reasoning for his opinion is that he's yet to meet an Omen that hurt him, so he has no reason not to trust them.
